Our trial experience
"A jury consists of twelve persons chosen to decide who has the better lawyer."  ROBERT FROST - American poet

SCOTT GYLLENBORG, CHRISTINA DUNN and MICHELLE DURRETT each have been lead trial counsel in many jury and bench trials of criminal cases.  Scott also has tried criminal cases in the United States District Court for the District of Kansas, several other district courts in Kansas, and in most of the municipal courts of the cities in Johnson County.  Scott and Christina each have written briefs and argued cases in criminal appeals before the Kansas Supreme Court and the Kansas Court of Appeals.  Scott also has perfected, briefed and argued cases before the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit.

Scott Gyllenborg is an Adjunct Professor of Law at the University of Kansas School of Law in Lawrence.  He teaches the course Trial Advocacy to second and third year law students.  Scott, Christina and Michelle each sit several times each year as a district court judge pro tem in the District Court of Johnson County, Kansas.  This experience helps them improve their trial skills as they observe from the bench the strengths and weaknesses of other trial lawyers.

Not every case needs to go to trial.  If yours does, you will have an experienced criminal defense trial lawyer with Gyllenborg & Dunn.
